I'd never heard the term until a friend said it to me one day ... and as I stood there and pondered the concept, I had to agree ... I can handle monumental disasters with grace and ease and never break a sweat and then worry myself sick over how someone took something I said .. or some other trivial thing.
There's something that is worrying the stuffing out of me and I'm going to share it with you folks.
I'm not an experienced Tweeter. Now, I know some of you may say, "Well I don't even have a Twitter - who needs a Twitter - I don't understand Twitter and it doesn't make a doggone bit of sense - It's stupid!"
Well to you folks I say this -
1- "stupid" is a very ugly word and you shouldn't use it.
B- Twitter is now attracting 190 million visitors per month and generating 65 million Tweets a day.
Tres - I'm getting some re-tweets and mentions on Twitter - more than I'm getting on Facebook, well...except for my Mom :)
Anywho, I'm really worked up about the Twitter because I don't know a thing about it. I've set all of my stuff up to automatically Tweet, but when someone says something to me-the only way I know to speak back to them is by direct message.
Now I don't want anyone to think I'm a complete dork - I'm pretty tech savvy, but Twitter was something I never really fooled with until I began a full tilt promotion of my projects and businesses.
It's on my to-do list for this week to watch a tutorial and figure out how to publicly thank these folks for mentioning me and re-tweeting me. If you're currently not on Twitter and you are one of those "creative people that a lot of people don't get", then you should get on Twitter - That's just my advice.

I'd also like to say that I'm not online twenty-four/seven. I had someone contact me the other day because it looks like I'm posting around the clock. (I appreciated the concern, btw) Anywho, I use Hootsuite - it's links together Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and whatever else so that you can schedule posts in advance. Sometimes I'm posting live from there, but often I'm scheduling things for high-traffic times.
