My Mom has sang the praises of "set the timer" for as long as I can remember. It didn't matter if she was tidying the house before Dad got home from work and sat us down with a project and instructions that no one move from that space until the timer went off OR if we were
causing absolute chaos and destruction and wound up with our "Noses on the Wall" hearing every tick of the timer waiting for it to be over. I think you "new fangledy parents" call that "Time Out" now...
Anywho, if you think about it -
these "8 minute timers" are a bit like a time out for me because often when I resort to the timer I'm doing it to work on a project that absolutely overwhelms me and makes me want to curl up in a ball... Something I absolutely abhor... BUT at the end is a FANTASTIC reward!

If you're a procrastinator or you let yourself dawdle on things... I'm the absolute Universe's worst and this is really helping get things done and move forward on projects...
