I've been
working on "Getting Organized" and I think it's going to stick
this time after I get everything under control. I've always been a
bit of a pack rat, myself... and Evan is a bit of a pack rat and now that
we have transferred all of our pack rattedness to one address, we have an
overwhelming amount of "stuff".
I had yard sales throughout the decent weather last year and made a fair several hundred bucks over the course of those and cleared a good amount of stuff, but it's so much work to have a yard sale and in all honesty, I'm starting to feel forty! (which is as astounding to me as salt in java!) I notice that I tire out more quickly and I think of Grandma Comer playing pitch and catch with me in her backyard 30 years ago and having to sit down because "Grandma's not ten anymore, Kim Ann hun...."
I'm thinking more along the lines of donation, consignment and eBay to get rid of the rest of it... and I might possibly gather all of the really good stuff and have one yard sale when the weather breaks.
Anywho, I wish that I could just pull a "Clean House" and drag everything out into the yard on tarps, sort it out, bring in what stays, have a yard sale the next day and donate the rest - but that's SO much more difficult than it sounds and also I fear that Evan would freak out! No doubt it would be very overwhelming for everyone including the neighbors and those who could be recruited to help.
I've been listening to David Allen and Hellen Buttigieg and if you'd like to check them out you can find each of them in the Pinterest Widget below... Also there you'll find some home organizing items that I've pinned there so I don't lose them...
Follow Kim Comer Jackson's board Getting Organized on Pinterest.
The first two household projects I have on the burner are a laundry room remix and a den remix... I've put pinterest boards for each of those projects below (scroll on down the page) if you'd like to follow along with them specifically. I'll be sharing a slew of photos and tips and tricks as the project goes on..
Have a Grand and Groovy Day!
