I first began researching the family tree around 1990. I was about 16 when my boyfriend's mother introduced me to genealogy. I found her stories fascinating and was wound as tight as a banjo string to uncover my own.
My early research was done by going to libraries and records rooms. The internet didn't really become a tool for me until the later part of the 90s.
