I'm hoping now that both "major parties" have fallen prey to the Electoral College that people will begin to understand that our voting system as it currently stands is a mess...
""The Electoral College voting system is a wolf in sheep's clothing... It's all dressed up like Democracy, we get to vote for "whichever
one we want" after the 'appropriate candidates' are 'filtered in'. Those 'other guys' (or gals) can run, but they might not be on the ballot in every state, they won't be invited to the "big debates". They can have their own debate... and they will... and they'll invite 'the traditional candidates' and they won't bother to attend... and you'll never hear it on the news.... ""
Many conservatives ((according to their Facebook feeds)) seemed to feel that a vote against Romney was a vote against Christianity. I don't feel that way at all. I could have never PERSONALLY voted for Romney ... possibly even with a gun to my head ... because I think that his views against anyone who doesn't "do it the way he does it" are mortifiably antiquated and in my opinion equal hate and intolerance.
I don't think it's the job of our Government to legislate morality.
I personally DO NOT believe in abortion,
most definitely not as an "oops I got knocked up" solution.
I personally DO believe in equal rights for gay Americans because I know as many incredibly wonderful gay people as straight people and the thought that they can't take the same vows that straight people take is sad. I know what it says in the bible... it also says there's only one judge and you're not it...
I personally DO NOT believe that it's our business to be "the police of the world" when there are much larger things to handle on American soil...
and now more than ever, perhaps...
I personally DO believe that every vote should count... and right now it doesn't.
I looked this morning to see if there was a place we could all go and speak our mind and guess what, there's A Petition for the Removal of the Electoral College..
I'm told that Johnson got 1.48% of the popular vote and this morning I was told by a trusted source that there were 91 votes in MASSAC COUNTY for Gary Johnson. I've looked for more national numbers and it's been like finding a needle in a haystack, so I've gotta move on with my day and hopefully bring you those later on ... But 1.48% my friends, is a start...
Have a Grand and Groovy Day!
Be Kind to One Another...
and Don't Text and Drive...
