"I Only Wear Red One Day a Year" is "that Kentucky crap" ... I Beg to Differ... Go Cats!

I was simply devastated to find that one of my friends had referred to my blue santa as "that Kentucky crap" when seeing it go through the news feed earlier this week. I am truly a Kentucky fan - as you

learned here the day after Kentucky won the Championship - but I haven't always been...

Way back many moons ago when I was a delightfully optimistic young dahling, I realized very quickly that College Basketball season was going to be quite similar to the hunting seasons I had witnessed growing up at the folks' and if I wanted any quality time with my later-to-be-ex-hubby during the fall I needed to get in the loop.

I quickly became thrilled with watching Kentucky games in a large group and I was immediately a die hard fan... which was odd, because I'd always thought that Kentucky fans were rabid and bizarre types of people unable to speak about anything but...

The midish 90s were an amazing time for Kentucky basketball... I was brought up to speed on the Duke Game of '92 and other little trivial facts that I was going to need to be aware of...

As the years have progressed I have continued to be a fan and look forward every year to selection Sunday... and I was delighted this year with the results.
