My time is running out ... I return to work in two and a half hours....
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, I mentioned it here.
This week has been a really great experience. It's made me realize a lot of things.
- When you're doing something you love doing, it doesn't feel like work at all.
- If you sit at a "desk" for 83 hours in one week, you're going to have a headache...you can take Excedrin, you can put Vicks Vap O' Rub on your face or put a bag of frozen corn on your head ... regardless, you are going to have a headache... but refer to lesson 1. :)
- It takes 120 seconds or LESS to call and follow up on how much is owed on a bill and where to send the payment.
- My Mom is the bomb (!) and she truly is a "hover mother" and she just can't help it. That doesn't mean sometimes she won't cause my blood pressure to spike dangerously high, possibly causing me to stroke out, but hopefully not.
- Some people are sheep ... they follow along and do what they're told. They do what they do because that's the way they did it yesterday and their vision is muddled by their inability to see beyond the herd. It's just their nature... that's just them... I find it pathetic and vehemently exhausting, but it's just them....
- Some people are thinkers and doers. They have new ideas and they like to hear new ideas. They think out of the box and they think around the corner to get ahead of the curve on what's coming next. They have vision ... they're inspired and they inspire others ... they have dreams and goals and they are in the process of achieving them. It's just their nature too ... and I find that to be a deliciously wonderful nature to have ...
- Life is a beautiful place when you can decide who you come in contact with and who you don't.
