The Simple Woman's Day Book is a writing project that my mother recently turned me on to ....
FOR TODAY January 10, 2010
Outside My Window... The sun is shining. I'm sure it's not as warm as it would have me think...
I am thinking...that I'm anxious to get on with my projects today. I can't believe it's already Sunday and I'm not as far along
with things as I'd anticipated; but I'm anxious to get a fire under my behind and get going!!
I am thankful for...family and friends who love me no matter what, being me and good java.
From the learning rooms...(if this applies)
my mind is bursting with all kinds of new information. I've recently been on a spell of watching geology-ish documentaries. Lately I've found the age and history of the earth to be interesting. I've also been reading on the topic of opening oneself up to the signals from the Universe.
From the kitchen...
I've made massive headway this weekend organizing and rearranging my cabinets and pantry. I've decided to set my kitchen up in a way that is convenient for me. After I sat down and sketched and doodled for a bit; I converted a few of my cabinets into non traditional storage, because that's what I actually need. They now house my art supplies so that I can get to them more readily. My first project to complete today is my remodeled java bar!! :)
I did rearrange my kitchen stuff ... which has been (since I've moved here) seldom used. I'm hoping that the new kitchen layout will cause me to cook more and eat more fresh foods.
I am wearing...a white long-john shirt, red and yellow plaid lounge pants and fluffy green socks.
I am creating...a lot of things right now. I'm working on a couple of scrapbooks and a multitude of projects here and elsewhere. I've been spending more time writing as I approach almost a year of no "good" blogs.
I am going... to turn up the radio to "very loud" .. hopefully to Flashback on WQQR, but often I can't pick that station up. Someone might mention to that GM that if one's going to operate a radio station, it's a great idea if it can be heard!! :) I'm also going to turn my phone to absolute silent as to eliminate anything that might sidetrack me before I get my "To Do" list done. I'll check it around 1 though, because if I don't people will start sending SWAT teams to make sure I'm okay.
I am reading... nothing in a solid and cohesive manner. I'm skimming several books right now.
I am hoping... that I stay on track today and everything moves smoothly!
I am hearing... the bubbling of the aquariums .. I haven't turned on any music yet.
Around the house...things look a little dishelveled, but I'm still getting things tucked back into place from the organizing spree I'm on. At this time tonight it will be delightful!!
One of my favorite things...in my kitchen ... the dishtowels on the oven handle. One is of a martini design and is patterned with olives and bar tools.... The other two are towels Mom put in my "bad days box" at Christmas, perfect fire-extinguisher RED! One is solid and the other one is a large plaid design. They go perfectly with my martini towel set :)
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Aside from my cleaning and organizing projects today and cleaning the offices with Mary later on; I have several responsibilities to catch up on this week. I plan to really keep my nose to the grindstone and take care of the things I've been procrastinating on.
And that's my Simple Woman's Day Book for January 10, 2010
Have a pleasant day and groovy tomorrow!!
